At sys-tek, our reputation is built on long-lasting client relationships. By striving to exceed all expectations, the result is a successful project with our client.

We encourage and educate our public clients about the benefits of sustainable design, and have been recognized for our commissioning services in this area.

Mark Muller — Project Manager for Treanor Architects

Our work with Treanor Architects for the Johnson County Airport Detention Center was to work in unison to evaluate and identify operational and capital investment requirements as facility management responsibilities transferred from the Sheriff’s Department to the Facilities Department. Mark Muller, Project Manager for Treanor, recognized that we follow through and stand behind our commitments, stating that “sys-tek did a great job on a finicky and fickle project.”

Joel Taylor — Construction Project Manager for Capital Improvements Management Office

“sys-tek promotes a positive teamwork environment. Terminal building HVAC Improvements at Charles B. Wheeler Downtown Airport is the first project that i have been involved with sys-tek. I have enjoyed this experience.”

Jerome Schoffler — J&J Maintenance, Inc.

“I’ve only used sys-tek for commissioning, and was made aware of their MEP capability during the performance of several projects. I had sys-tek contracted for commissioning in the Great Plains region. If the MEP engineering work is as good as the commissioning, our relationship with sys-tek will and can continue to grow. We appreciate the work you guys do for us. Keep up the quality and responsiveness, and you’ll always have work from us.”

Jeff Ballantyne — Berger Devine Yaeger Architects

“We love working with sys-tek. You deliver quality designs and respond promptly when the owner calls with changes in the eleventh hour. We have appreciated your experience in making sound decisions. It is good to work with engineers who not only provide design, but commissioning. sys-tek understands the big picture. We plan to continue working with you for years to come. Thanks for providing the same quality that we strive to provide for the owner of our projects.”

We at sys-tek are very proud of our university and campus experience, encompassing school systems throughout the Midwest.

John Heldstab — Facilities Manager, University of Missouri – Kansas City

Among our list of clients, sys-tek has been fortunate to work on many projects with UMKC, developing a strong working relationship by providing electrical studies, HVAC evaluations, and on-call services for several buildings on the university’s campus. The challenge for UMKC was utilizing an engineer that has experience with retro-fitting equipment for campus facilities that are 20-30 years old. To meet these challenges, sys-tek offerscommissioning experience that provides real value by evaluating existing systems, and by working closely with UMKC’s Facilities Manager John Heldstab. “sys-tek’s unique talents in commissioning makes them great designers. It is hard to find an engineering firm that understands both how systems operate, and knows how to design as well. I can count on sys-tek to get the job done right, and do the next right thing.”

Tony Sapenaro — Stanger, Inc.

“I’m impressed with attention to detail and performance at UMKC.”

Chris Vaeth — McCown Gordon Construction

“I have worked with sys-tek as the project engineer previously, and more recently as the commissioning and testing agency. I have been pleased with each experience and look forward to working with you again on future projects.”

Tony Cole — University of Missouri – Kansas City

“I enjoy working with sys-tek.”

Mission Critical services is a unique field few engineers have experience in. At sys-tek, we have completed well over 400 separate projects in the telecommunications industry, in which any down time of MEP systems is crucial.

For one of our largest clients, AT&T, providing coordination for system expansions and upgrades, such as live mission critical data centers, requires detailed phasing and construction sequencing to ensure continuous operation of the facilities. Our services also include project scheduling and development of construction procedures, with supervision for all critical tie-in work. As a value-added service, sys-tek has a proven track record of responding to emergency situations. In June 2001, Houston received over 14 inches of rain within a 24-hour period, flooding the AT&T facility chiller plant. We were on site within 6 hours and constructed a 3,000-ton chiller plant outside the building in 36 hours.

Emroy Jones — Project Manager, Beck

“I want you to know that it is a pleasure working with you. You add value to what we do for our client and I really appreciate the expertise and attitude that you bring to our projects. It helps to make this a better alliance.”

Landon Blair — McDonald Electric

“Keep up the great work.”

sys-tek has completed well over 100 separate projects in the Life Sciences market.

Joe Becker — Manager Plant Operations, North Kansas City Hospital

“I turn to sys-tekk when I have highly specialized work done on the hospital’s systems. When it comes to specialty items, they are a very talented group.”

Jos Janssen — Project Manager, Intervet

“We simply would not have made the progress we have made in the engineering design without sys-tek on the project.”

Mr. Ramin Cherafat — McCown Gordon Construction

“I have to say that I have been very impressed with the efforts of sys-tek. This project was a little chopped up and had some technical items that took a lot of tracking and management to ensure all the bases got covered. Thanks again to the entire design team for their efforts.”

Tab White — Project Manager, McCown Gordon Construction

“Gary, Thanks and great job… Reacting as you have to the situation shows a genuine concern for our collective client. THANK YOU!”

Kerry Knott — Principal, Bell/Knott & Associates Architects

“My relationship with sys-tek has been nothing but excellent.”

Scott Atkins — Intervet

“sys-tek has been a great all around consulting company for Intervet, providing engineering, testing & balancing, and as-built documents. Great Job.”

Kevin Schafer — Construction Coordinator, North Kansas City Hospital

“It looks good. This is exactly what I need for the approval process.”

We strive for zero downtime to save our clients money, to update or design the facility with a detailed master plan, and to always provide effective communication and coordination.

Phil Brandis — Project Manager, Capital Projects, Bayer
