Gary D. Short, P.E., LEEDAP

Gary believes in possibilities and in people. He has surrounded himself with amazingly talented people that truly believe in the projects they work on and are committed to exceeding customer expectations. He approaches projects with a "take-no-prisoners" attitude and demands excellence at every phase of the project to ensure that every design for every project, regardless of size, comes alive. With over 30 years in engineering design, construction management and commissioning and system start-up, Gary is able to effectively guide each client through the entire project from conception to system start-up.

Gary is a stickler on follow through and keeping the communications lines open with clients, contractors and suppliers. It is all about relationships and communicating effectively so the entire team understands the needs and expectations for every project sys-tek works on.

One of Gary's strongest assets is his ability to analyze systems and pin-point system adjustments and corrections needed for systems to operate as needed and at the highest efficiency obtainable. This asset comes from experience pure and simple. Gary has designed and commissioned almost every conceivable system imaginable. He has actually installed and programmed control systems. Has specialized expertise in control protocols specifically LonWorks and development of SCADA systems using Wonderware. Basically, knows what he is doing.

Gary frequently presents at national conferences on commissioning. Recent presentations include the World Conference in Dallas for International Facility Managers Association (IFMA) and for the National Conference for Association of Physical Plant Administrators (APPA) in San Antonio.
