JFT Generator PLC Upgrade

sys-tek is updating the PLC programs for the Turbine Generator Plant that backs up the Jefferson Toll Building for at&t in Houston. This facility is one of only six strategic communications buildings for at&t in the US.  Work includes not only making changes to PLC programming, but also Commissioning all work done to assure the operational integrity of the facility is maintained.

UMKC Medical School AHU Readings

sys-tek is providing Commissioning and TAB services at the UMKC Medical School. The project includes Commissioning and performing airflow readings on four (4) Air Handling Units. As part of the system readings, we will verify the operation of the equipment.

KCAD Building Upgrade at 125 Paris

sys-tek is providing Commissioning and TAB services for the renovation of the Kansas City Aviation Department's 125 Paris Building. The project includes Commissioning and Balancing seven (7) Packaged Roof Top Units, nine (9) Unit Heaters, two (2) Fan Coil Units, six (6) Exhaust Fans and associated controls.

Johnson County Courthouse Boiler Plant Upgrades

Services included MEP engineering evaluation, system troubleshooting, testing, adjusting and balancing of existing air handling and chilled water systems serving the facility. A year prior to our firm getting involved with this facility the chiller plant was replaced and increased in capacity. However, after the cooling capacity was increased, the facility continued to have operational problems specifically on the fourth floor.

The project objective was to troubleshoot the system by testing, and then commissioning to resolve operational and temperature control issues. Services provided included site inspection, review, HVAC system readout, evaluation, and troubleshooting.

content-9North Kansas City Hospital

Retro-Commissioning 39 air handling systems serving the 13-story Pavilion Medical Building.  Project includes installing 72 CO2 sensors and building static pressure.  The cost for the control upgrades and commissioning will be paid for from energy savings within 10 months of the project completion.

Lee’s Summit School District TAB & Commissioning

sys-tek is the TAB and Commissioning Authority for two gymnasium additions at Summit Lakes and Pleasant Lea Middle Schools, the new Central Office Building, and the new Elementary School #17 located in the Lee’s Summit, MO R-7 School District. sys-tek is working closely with JE Dunn and local design firms to assure that the facilities operate as intended.
