Happy Clients
At sys-tek, our reputation is built on long-lasting client relationships. By striving to exceed all expectations, the result is a successful project with our client. Our work with Treanor Architects for the Johnson County Airport Detention Center was to work in unison to evaluate and identify operational and capital investment requirements as facility management responsibilities transfer from the Sheriff’s Department to the Facilities Department. Mark Muller, Project Manager for Treanor, recognized that we follow through and stand behind our commitments, stating that “sys-tek did a great job on a finicky and fickle project”.
sys-tek is very proud of our university and campus experience, encompassing school systems throughout the Midwest. Among our list of clients, sys-tek has been fortunate to work on many projects with UMKC, developing a strong working relationship by providing electrical studies, HVAC evaluations, and on-call services for several buildings on the university’s campus. The challenge for UMKC was utilizing an engineer that has experience with retro-fitting equipment for campus facilities that are 20-30 years old. To meet these challenges, sys-tek provides commissioning experience that provides real value by evaluating existing systems, and by working closely with UMKC’s Facilities Manager John Heldstab. “sys-tek’s unique talents in commissioning makes them great designers. It is hard to find an engineering firm that understands both how systems operate, and knows how to design as well. I can count on sys-tek to get the job done right, and do the next right thing.”
Mission Critical services is a unique field few engineers have experience in. At sys-tek, we have completed well over 400 separate projects in the telecommunications industry, in which any down time of MEP systems is crucial. For one of our largest clients, AT&T, providing coordination for system expansions and upgrades, such as live mission critical data centers, requires detailed phasing and construction sequencing to insure continuous operation of the facilities. Our services also include project scheduling and development of construction procedures, with supervision for all critical tie-in work. As a value-added service, sys-tek has a proven track record of ability to respond to emergency situations. In June 2001, Houston received over 14 inches of rain within a 24-hour period, flooding the AT&T facility chiller plant. We were on site within 6 hours and constructed a 3,000-ton chiller plant outside the building in 36 hours.

“I've only used sys- tek for commissioning, and was made aware of their MEP capability during the performance of several projects. We appreciate the work you guys do for us. Keep up the quality and responsiveness, and you'll always have work from us.”

“Gary and Kelly - Just wanted to take a moment to congratulate sys-tek on a job well done! I'm certain our local at&t groups involved have walked away this morning with a huge weight lifted from their shoulders after your successful electrical shutdown/transfer of the entire building this morning. sys-tek has created the level of comfort and confidence that our Client and Alliance GC Partner so desperately needed to prove that this very high-profile project will continue to be the success we've all worked diligently for. I especially want to say "Thank You" from our team here at Gensler, for your tireless efforts in keeping everyone involved and continue the level of coordination, plus that take charge attitude that Gensler truly expects of all our Alliance Consultants to ensure the successful projects at&t has entrusted in us. Keep up the good work.”
