Our Community

We understand the value of service. We know that many rewards are reaped by those who perform service. Some of those rewards are feelings of pride, satisfaction, accomplishment and purpose. Volunteerism also helps to develop leadership, planning, project management and motivational skills. At sys-tek, we value these characteristics as a company and in the individuals that comprise the company. "To challenge ourselves to serve our community" is part of our core purpose.

Joplin, Missouri

On Sunday, May 22nd, 2011 a categorized EF5 tornado ravaged through the city of Joplin, Missouri, about 160 miles South of our office location in Blue Springs, MO. This tornado was the single deadliest since 1995, killing a total of 139 people and damaging over 2,000 buildings. We are not strangers to tornados in this part of the country and there is no doubt that we will help our neighbors out however we can when such devastation occurs.  That is why Monday morning we started collecting and organizing donations to make to the Red Cross stationed in Joplin. Employees and their family members brought in items that included; tooth brushes, soap, wash clothes and baby wipes, shampoo and conditioner, first aid kits, food donations, toilet paper, personal care items, as well as monetary donations. sys-tek matched the donations that the employees made.

sys-tek believes in helping out not only our community but our surrounding communities becasue we know that they would do the same for us.
